Who Should Buy Arctis Nova 5X?
Good fit
Buy the Nova 5X if you play across the named console and computer platforms and want one headset that can also connect to phones or tablets.
The USB-C dongle supports system swapping, and on-headset ChatMix and mute controls suit sessions where quick adjustments matter.
It also fits players who expect to use both gaming wireless and Bluetooth.
Quick-Switch lets you take a call or listen to media, while the game preset library and USB-C charging give you practical options for tuning and returning to play.
Who should skip it
Skip it if active noise cancellation is a must-have for concentrating in a noisy space; the Nova 5X’s documented strengths center on presets, wireless modes, battery, and platform coverage.
Arctis Nova 5X: A Multi-System Gaming Headset
Preset depth for game-by-game tuning
The preset library is a central part of the Nova 5X’s appeal.
More than 100 audio presets for games such as GTA V, FIFA, and Call of Duty offer starting points for players who want to adjust game audio through the companion app; treat the number of options as breadth, not proof that every preset will suit your preferences.
Switching between gaming and Bluetooth
The headset has separate 2.4GHz gaming and Bluetooth 5.3 modes, with a button to switch between them for a call or media.
That arrangement suits players who want both connection types in one headset; the feature description does not establish simultaneous mixing, so buyers who need game sound and Bluetooth audio at once should confirm that workflow before choosing.
Battery claims and the charging routine
A 60-hour battery capacity and USB-C fast charge are strong on-paper conveniences for long sessions or a busy week of play.
The fast-charge example gives six hours of use from 15 minutes, while the eight-hours-a-day example is a suggested routine rather than a guarantee of identical results in every setup.
Microphone and controls for regular use
The fully retractable ClearCast 2.X microphone can be stowed when voice chat is over, and its chipset supports 32KHz/16Bit audio.
Power, mute, volume, ChatMix, and Quick-Switch controls sit on the headset, helping keep common adjustments within reach during play.
